The U.S. Representative to the United Nations Ambassador Kelly Craft welcomes the decision by the government and opposition parties of South Sudan to form a new transitional unity government.

Craft said that this is just a first step toward lasting dignity, stability, and peace in the youngest nation on her Twitter account.

“The real work and the hardest work begins now. South Sudan’s leaders must show courage and fortitude to chart a better future for South Sudan”, Craft twitted on her Twitter account.

“I am personally prepared to assist in these efforts, as is the government of the United States. Peace, security, and prosperity are within grasp, and now is the moment to reach” she added.
